Come dance to the big band sounds of the New Traditions Jazz Ensemble on Saturday, April 24th! This is only the second time a a full big band has played at Whirl & Twirl, so don’t miss out on this historic Central Florida Swing Dance Event!
Lead by Ed Micklos, the New Tradition Jazz Ensemble is a community of musicians focused on sharing their great enjoyment of Big Band & Jazz music with audiences far and wide. They view melody as a universal language and Jazz as a platform for freedom, equality and fun. Join us for lively performances, popping rhythms, and exhilarating solos.
New to swing dancing? No problem! There will be a free beginner swing dance lesson from 8pm to 9pm that will take you from the very basic and then teach you 3 or 4 moves you can enjoy practicing right away at the dance that follows from 9pm to Midnight.
Drinks and snacks are available for a $1.00 donation and this is a non-smoking, all ages welcome event, all for only $12.00 per person!
